Two months ago, we shared our plans to celebrate our 40th Anniversary by strengthening The Salt Mine’s mission—to provide vital food resources to our neighbors in need. Our goals are to secure $4,000 in new monthly recurring donations to sustain the work year-round and $40,000 in one-time gifts to meet urgent summer needs.

Thanks to your generosity, we are making incredible progress:

  • We are at 40% of our goal for $4,000 in new, monthly recurring donations. This has already allowed us to begin future planning for the needs of our neighbors.

  • We are at 30% of our goal for $40,000 in one-time donations for current summer needs. Your donations have allowed us to meet 6,808 requests for help this summer (6/1/2025-8/6/2025). Our neighbors received the help they needed during this season because of your generosity!

We set these goals for one reason—because The Salt Mine relies on your support. Giving away free food is not free and takes a community’s worth of resources every single day. Without the support of our community, The Salt Mine will not be able to meet the requests of our neighbors. Everyone faces financial difficulty for one reason or another; your generosity to The Salt Mine ensures that every family receives support during their time of need.

If you have yet to join the mission of The Salt Mine, then do so now with a recurring donation or a one-time gift. Our community relies on your generosity to keep our doors open, shelves full, and operations flowing. Please help the work continue, as many local families request help every day.
