Give Hope for the Holidays

This summer, our goal was to feed every family that came to our doors, and you helped us meet this goal. Thank you for your constant support! However, as a small nonprofit funded entirely by the generosity of our community, we barely made it through the summer months. We are asking for your continued support as we transition to the holiday season.

The holiday season is the time of greatest need at The Salt Mine. This year, The Salt Mine will be feeding at least 1,500 families for the holidays. We have heard firsthand from our neighbors that they are already experiencing the stress of the holidays coming soon. Together, we can help alleviate that stress, adding to the overall wellbeing of our neighbors and our community.

In addition to our regular food distributions (occurring 5 days a week), we will also be having Thanksgiving and Christmas distributions this holiday season. Our main goal is to give a turkey to every family who requests help for the holidays. Our secondary goal is to include many holiday meal fixings with these turkeys; but we can only do this with the dedicated support of our community. These distributions rely entirely on the generosity of our donors. Without your support, we will not be able to proceed with holiday distributions.
